Fun Day!

so today was a fun day for me! i actually woke up early to go shopping with my mom for a little bit. ended up getting a bigger george foreman for like $20! amazingly cheap! =)

i got to met up with RL for origins facials/makeovers in the village...the facial part was nice...if it wasnt for the fact that the girl doing it for me had told me that the last lady that she did it for fell asleep, i would have probably taken a nap while she did it! another girl did my makeup and i asked her to do mine similar to hers...she had pretty purple-ish eyeshadow and nude lips...lovely! well she gave me purple but LIGHT shimmery lids with DARK lips...and then my bronzer and blush wasn't blended right so i looked NOT good! i felt bad because i didn't wanna tell her that i didn't like it but it definitely did NOT look like her makeup! after wiping my face with my hands a little bit, my face started looking a little bit better...no worries, i didn't do any of that in the origins store! =)

so we went over to sephora and i met the Smashbox O-Glo...it is an amazing blush product that starts as a gel and turns the perfect blush shade for your skin tone! it was way tooo cool! i was sooo tempted to buy it! no surprise but my shade was a very pink color! RL and the chick totally had different colors! i was thoroughly amazed and TEMPTED! my gift card from my sister is the perfect amount for me to buy it with! =) maybe another time!

well anyways...totally off from all of this but i had to write about this since i saw it on tv...they were doing some report on nightline (i think!) and at first all i saw at first was that they had Dustin Diamond (Screech of Save By The Bell fame) at some porn conference advertising for something he did...well they started talking about how porn comes in HD (which we all know is high definition) and 3-D...can you imagine tha: HD 3-D! damn! lol the reporter interviewed Jenna Jameson and she was saying how she wasnt a fan of HD because now you could see all the imperfections (i.e. stretch marks, razor burn, etc) thus messing up the fantasy aspect of porn. lol WOWSERS! who would have thought that porn stars are worried about that kinda stuff too? haha...well there ya go! all you porn enthusiasts! you can now try it in HD 3-D!

so i love reading postsecret. it's one of my FAVORITE blogs! i actually wait every sunday (sometimes saturdays) for Frank Warren to update the postcards for me to read (and thousands of other people!) it's good stuff...for those who don't know about it, you should definitely check it out!! POSTSECRET...i've linked it multiple times just for convenience!

well this past weekend, this postcard really caught my eye! (also seen below!) sometimes i wish it was sent about me. instead of 'Cynthia,' it would say 'Jane.' i don't think it would make life any better but at least it would be there for the world to see....

So yet another episode of SATC has me blogging away. tonight was the episode where Carrie leaves the Russian and Big comes to take her home to NYC. the ending scene is what got to me! (well to be honest, a lot of scenes go to me - Big coming to Paris, Smith flying home to be with Samantha, etc etc) the girls sitting around in the cafe chatting and then Carrie's homecoming...that's what i want. i miss the girls!!

i have a great circle of girlfriends. sometimes i wish i saw them more or lived closer. it's moments like that that i miss the roommies! it was always fun just plopping into one of their rooms, just because! i mean, that was kinda my thing! lol =) i have tons of good friends that i see all the time but we don't do the regular hanging out.

i always compared myself to Carrie...maybe with a splash of Charlotte! trying to find love and definitely writing about it! lol

ahh...to have something interesting like that! friends mean so much in our world! sometimes we just have to remind ourselves that! =)

Sunday Funday...

so i ended up going for a short bike ride today.....i think i'm gonna make a concerted effort to go more often...i might actually wake up and go so i can get more biking in! there definitely were a lot of cuties on the trail! lol not like you can really talk to anyone when you're biking but still, its nice to be able to be out and about! it was really weird because when i was riding back, this woman totally fell down on the path. apparently something happened to her foot and her running partner tried helping her...another biker had stopped and i didn't want to just pass them up so i stopped and just asked if everything was okay. i wish i had something to offer but of course i didn't! i'm gonna have to some things if i become a bit of an avid biker...a camelpack and maybe a traveling first aid kit! =) something to consider!

i went to get pizza after biking so i could sit and watch the super bowl...a couple of slices of pizza and a woodchuck later, i was pooped! i barely saw the commercials and halftime and basically passed out in front of the tv till the game was over...unfortunately the Bears didn't win...but congratulations are in order for the Colts...i'm sure it was a tough super bowl, playing in the rain and all!

well i'm considering two things for the weekdays now, basically biking and AFH. i'll probably call up someone before i do the AFH thing during the week! plus..i cant forget the thorn in my side called electricity and magnetism! ugh!

okay im still tired so it might be an early night for me! yeah! =) i miss those!

random things...

today at AFH, it was great fun! =) i got to be the number passer outer! it was definitely fun just getting a chance to talk to all the clients that come in and so forth. interactions like that reinforce the reason why i wanna work with people and be able to just help them out and talk to them. i started to have random conversations about global warming and tons of other things! i think this one guy, Floyd, was convinced that i wasnt 100% asian since i was wearing my grey contacts today! i really do love being around the people that work there too! its crazy sometimes to think that most of them are HIV+! amazing people though...days like this make me feel like i've found my calling! =)

i was looking at a friend's myspace and she had uploaded all the pictures from the past two outings we had...i had to jack this one picture of me and her...i look fabulous in it and i hate to say it but definitely cute sooo i have to post it here! =) i love good pics with friends! its rare, especially after a night of drinking! =)

and i dont think you can really tell but i was wearing my amethyst contacts that night..thats why my eyes look a little off! lol

what happened to good ole Alief??

so i guess i'm behind because i don't work in the district anymore (oh darn! haha) but i just saw on the news that two Alief Taylor basketball players and four other teens were arrested an armed robbery from November...it's kinda ironic that they were two starters on the varsity team that did it too...they had a possible futures playing college ball or something...all wasted away because they wanted a quick fix for money at that time...probably because it was the holidays!

apparently the gang task force helped in locating the kids who committed the crime...it makes me wonder if they were gang members (probably!!) and if they were, i have an idea which one! lol

the really sad part is all thats going to happen to them is that they're gonna go to an alternative school (basically ALC, the Alief Learning Center.) ALC is a lot easier than regular school since most kids come out of it with really high grades! it's funny because even the kids will tell you that it's SUPER easy there! what a punishment!

it's always a good idea to send ALL the criminals to the same place so they can all become friends! yeah!!!

sometimes, i wonder what happened to Alief....what happened to you Alief?? i feel like i lost an old friend!!

Groundhog Day

i didnt know today was Groundhog Day till my friend asked me if Phil saw his shadow....sooo being the internet savvy person that i am, i looked and now i become the bearer of news!

soooooo Phil didnt see his shadow!! YEAHHHHH!!! sooo no more wintery weather...we're FINALLY gonna have spring weather early! wahooooOO!

think about it! the poor thing has only NOT seen his shadow 15 times since 1886! sooo count this year as a lucky year!

Super Bowl XLI

so this Sunday is what all pro football fans wait for...the Super Bowl. this year it will be between the Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts.

to be honest, i never really care about the Super Bowl, except for the halftime show and the commercials! even then i dont watch very much of it! i didnt realize it till recently to consider watchin the pre-game show! lol can you tell that i'm a super bowl fan??

(for those who dont know me, i'm not a pro football fan, just a college football fan! obvious since i went to the wonderful University of Texas at Austin! =) hook'em horns!)

well anyways, this year, i'm gonna (possibly) pay more attention to the game! so in order to be into the game, i have to pick a side! i'm not that big enough of a football fan (but i have to say i have watched more pro football this season than i have in previous seasons!) to just watch because i enjoy football that much! sooooo i've been doing my research to decide which team i should support and it's going to be *drum roll* the Chicago Bears!!

so why the Chicago Bears you ask? i've decided purely because of two things: Nathan Vasher and Cedric Benson...both UT alums that I got to watch while i was at UT! wahooooO!! sooo on sunday, i will be cheering on the Bears!

honestly, cant wait to see the commercials! =)
