Hamburg Song

it was a while back ago when Keane came to Houston at Verizon...it was such a good show! it was also the first time i heard this song....Hamburg Song...it's on Under the Iron Sea, track 6! i fell in love with the music and everything...

well i was listening to it in the car on my way to work and it made me think....i'm one of those people that actually pay attention to the lyrics....(example: i'm not a fan of the Akon song 'i wanna love you' for two reason: 1) its really called 'i wanna fuck you' and then 2) its him singing about a stripper! seriously, i thought one song about a stripper was good enough! (for those of you NOT in the know, that would be the song 'im in love with a stripper' with its catchy video game sounding intro!)

anyways...i've never been super duper sure what Tom says in the song...to me, i've always seen it as a long song...of unrequitted love...am i right? who knows! it's just a damn beautiful song....
