something i've been meeting to write about. . .the TSUNAMI.
its quite an INTERNATIONAL tragedy. to think that over 110,000 lives have been lost because of something that rarely occurs! they were shopping amateur footage of kids who were playing on the beach before the waves came crashing over them. luckily the kids were safe but so many others werent as fortunate. if you are a religious person, please pray for these families who are still missing love ones and friends. the irony is that its odd how such tragedies bring people together.

oh yeah, i dont like to consider myself 2nd rate. the golden rule: treat others the way you would like to be treated.

the little things DO count!
they really do. in all aspects of life.
whether it be in love, work, friendship, family, yourself, it ALL counts!

when people cancel on you, it hurts.
when someone doesnt call, its disappointing.
when the kids dont do their work, its saddening.
when you're forgotten, its just sucks.

at the same time,
a simple hello shows you care.
a simple phone call says you remember.
a little effort shows you're trying.

everyone says that you dont realize what you have until you lose it. its really true. (not saying i've lost anything lately but in GENERAL) life is short, n'est-ce pas? carpe diem. . . make the most of of things because it counts.

lets give a daily update from Christmas Eve on. . .
12/24/04 - It snowed!! I made my first minature snowman on my dad's truck! I wish i had taken a picture of it! I also drove for the first time in snow! Went downtown to see the lights at Hermann Park. It wasnt as spectacular as the one in Zilker Park. PLUS it was super cold and the family wasnt feeling it. Couldnt get the baby sick ya know?
12/25/04Woke up. . and amazingly did NOT open presents right away. We had a non-traditional Christmas dinner. Lots of seafood! YUM! opened presents in the evening. got all the IPod accesories i wanted (ITrip is awesome if yall have IPods! Im such a Mac geek now! kinda. . ) and some clothes! (this happened way before this date but one of my students gave me a "world's greatest teacher" bath set! awww) Got a LOT of text messages on my cell from people wishing me a Merry Christmas! Gotta LOVE friends! I did get one from an UNKNOWN number! I dunno how im gonna figure it out!! I also got one from DA. thats another story in and of itself!
12/26/04 Did some QUICK morning After-Christmas shopping with my mom. Just some things for her. Then went to dim sum at OP. It was aite. Nothing spectacular because they werent bringing around much food. oh well. . .
12/27/04 Had lunch with some friends. Our meal was comp-ed because one of them was a manager at the restauarant. that was kinda cool. brought the baby with me. . almost had one person believing she was mine . . .hehehe =) phone calls. . . i've been kinda challenged and ironically i think i've kinda taken it!

Honestly i havent had much of anything with guys but for some reason, now, im starting to just got a lil bizerky! blast from the past or working from the present. i dunno. . .i never know. =
i cant wait till this weekend. new years eve in austin 2004-2005. i'm excited. it should be fun! oh yeah, UT will beat Michigan! Hook'em!!

Christmas Break
so its nice to be on break but dang! im bored! LOL. babysitting hasnt been easy. my niece is going insane! i guess she's startin to realize the power she has over the family! EVIL! =x

i think im gonng be gettin into a lot of trouble during break. . . i just THINK!!

i cant wait till late friday nite/early saturday morning so i can open my gifts! yeah!! mom got a bouche noel from work. that'll be fun!

new years eve is gonna ROCK!! i cant wait!

GUYS: the NEW, OLD problem
tonite was fun. went to sherlocks. met a guy. .. total sweetheart but i think its cuz he's a farm boy from kansas. my phone buddy never showed. i think he thinks im gonna go see him. . haha NO. if he wants to see me, he'll come see ME! dont want to sound conceded but thats how it should be! thats the only way i am old fashion. . .i think hopefully all this stuff wont drive me nuts and make me confused. HOPEFULLY!
