Wanted to wish my Asian Sensation friend a happy 23rd bday!
Amazingly we all get older. . .not dead, just older!

I'm starting to realize that procrastinating on grades SUCK!! NO MORE!! i've been grading for like the last 3 hours and im DAYAM tired but i cant quit yet cuz of all these dayam grade checks!! GRRRR!! maybe i should collect less papers? its something to consider!!

im starting to feel sorry for some of my students. when i have one on one's with them, i realize a LOT! i guess i need to do that more often, somehow, sometime!

i talked to one of my former coworkers last nite. i miss my travis kids. im starting to get meaty emails from them. i wish i was there just to say WADDUP! to them. *sigh* ill just have to make a visit to austin sometime during the week so i can stop by and say hi to everyone! it'll be enjoyable! okie. . back to grading! BLAH!! one of the sucky parts of teaching. . GRADES!! (notice how it starts with GRRR!)

time to assess my teaching!
so tomorrow is the first of two days of testing! im kinda nervous because im worried that my kids arent gonna do too hot! i already know that they're gonna mess up on one question, one of the CAQ (common assessment questions. . one of the teachers i work with pronounces it COCK! LOL) i didnt talk about it with the kids and there's no reason to bring it up at the last minute. i might do it though. we'll see! but seriously, im nervous! what if this test tells me that im a sucky teacher! what then? or maybe it just reaffirms that my kids dont study! those little brats! =x LOL. .. JUST KIDDING! i love my students!!

back to randomness
i was watching a rerun of Seinfeld and in the episode Jerry was dating a girl whose name rhymed with a female body part. at the end of the episode, he realized that her name was Dolores. Just wondering so if anyone can answer, i'll be grateful but what female body part rhymes with Dolores?

the smallest things mean a LOT!
its funny sometimes but the smallest gestures in the world do make a big difference in life. today one of my advisor students folded a crane and gave it to me at the end of the period. it was really sweet. im planning to hang it from my ceiling once i find some yarn, string, SOMETHING!

i also got a phone call tonite, waking my napping ass up! its funny but sometimes, phone calls just to catch up and say hi make a big difference in a person's life. i just need to learn to talk less and ask more!

its funny but sometimes, all you need is a nice hello, hi, wassup dawg to make you smile =)

Open House
today was my first open house for school. it was actually quite an enjoyable experience. i talked to over 20 parents/guardians. im kinda happy i made it out alive and learned a little bit about the home life of some of my students. it wasnt a bad nite at all (except for the fact i didnt leave until 9pm!!)

i think even though this week has been crazy, its finally over. once i establish some ground rules here and there, everything will be a-okay! i see it coming!!

the full moon brings craziness!
so i've been super super busy that i havent even done much blogging lately! teaching really is an all consuming field in the beginning since you're tryin to learn how to budget your time! apparently i havent gotten a hang of it yet because i feel like there arent enough hours in a day for me to accomplish all i need to do!!

only two days have gone by this week and i am TIRED of the kids!! is that soo bad? apparently the full moon may have something to do with this. new and veteran teachers agree with this theory. something to invest some money into and do research on. . hehe. hopefully i'll make it through the week. tomorrow is hump day. hopefully it only gets better!

maybe i need a brain fart activity this weekend. im really tempted to call for a Wild West Friday. i just need a nice fun event! if anything, its Labor Day weekend. giving me a short week next week! YEAH!! at t his rate, maybe school wont be that long!!

i see the light at the end of the tunnel!! =)
